YouTube Outlier Tracker is a Chrome extension that analyses videos on YouTube pages and displays a badge showing how much a video outperformed its channel's typical output.
The extension reads YouTube video IDs visible on the current page and sends them to our backend server to retrieve view count statistics from the YouTube Data API. We store video IDs, view counts, channel IDs, and channel titles in a database to build performance baselines over time.
We do not collect your Google account information, YouTube watch history, personal details, or any data that identifies you as an individual. We do not sell or share any data with third parties.
This extension uses the YouTube Data API v3 (governed by Google's Privacy Policy) and the Anthropic Claude API for AI-generated explanations (governed by Anthropic's Privacy Policy). Neither service receives personally identifiable information from this extension.
Video performance data is stored indefinitely to maintain channel baselines. No personal user data is stored.
